We Are Sunderland sat down on Friday, February 2 to chew the fat looking back at the Black Cats' January transfer window.

Sunderland brought in three new signings before the window slammed shut at 11pm on February first, Leo Hjelde, Romaine Mundle and Callum Styles arriving to bolster Michael Beale's squad.

There were seven departures over last month, the most notable Alex Pritchard's move to Birmingham City.

Academy prospect Josh Robertson was another permanent departure, linking up with Premier League side Brighton having informed the Wearsiders he would explore his options elsewhere at the end of his scholarship.

Eliezer Mayenda, Nectar Triantis, Jewison Bennette, Jack  Diamond and Jay Matete all left the club on loan, with Sunderland's squad now finalised for the second-half of the season.
