Sunderland defender Aji Alese says he has no fears over a reoccurrence of his quad injury that has kept him out for the majority of the campaign.
The versatile centre-half played 30 minutes for the Black Cats one his return to action, having missed the last two months, last featuring against Ipswich Town at Portman Road back in January.
"I love playing football and every time I step on the pitch it's a good feeling so I'm happy to be back out there," Alese said. "No matter how small the injury, it always feels like a journey to get back and I was out for just over two months. It was a journey but I'm glad to be back now."

Alese penned a new deal with the club during his time out injured, extending his stay until the summer of 2027. The former West Ham United trainee says it was a no brainer and enjoys living in the region, having been videoed having a kick about with his neighbours kids.
"It's been a while since I did that so I'm not sure when you saw that video," Alese added, "But all my neighbours are massive Sunderland fans and I get on well with them. I enjoy spending time with them.
"All my friends and family are back in London so I'm up here by myself most of the time. To have neighbours that spend time and take an interest in me, not just because I play for Sunderland, but as a person, is very nice. Again, it helps me stay sane I guess. Especially when I don't have the distraction of playing football."
Alese played the full 90 minutes for Sunderland's U21s in their win over Huddersfield Town in the Central League and says his body feels good after stepping up his return from injury.
"I got 90 minutes for the Under-21s on Wednesday which Doddsy said he wanted me to get," he added. "He said he didn't want to rush me and I've got half an hour today, which is whatever he thinks is best. As long as my body feels good, I'll go along with it.
"Whenever you get injured, when you come back from it, it does play on your mind a little bit. Last season I got injured right at the end of the season which I wouldn't want to happen again. I've been taking it slow and I'll listen to my body.
"I know I've had a few injuries but I do feel confident in my body. Sometimes that confidence can lead to another injury or setback, but whenever I'm out there I'll give 100 per cent and whatever the team needs from me.
"Whatever the team needs. If it's to come off the bench like today, if it's to start, as long as I feel good I'll do as much as I can for the team."
