Sunderland face Millwall at the Stadium of Light in their penultimate home game of the season and We Are Sunderland bring you the preview in our latest briefing.

Interim head coach Mike Dodds looks to have steadied the ship somewhat after a drastic run of form heading into the international break last month with just one defeat now in their last five Championship games - albeit that defeat came with an added punch in a 5-1 home reverse to Blackburn Rovers.

Sunderland have kept a trio of clean sheets since that defeat in draws with Bristol City and Leeds United before a 1-0 success over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns last weekend. The key now for Dodds and his team is to rediscover their winning formula on Wearside having gone five without a win on home soil. Sunderland's last win at the Stadium of Light came in early February under Michael Beale against Plymouth Argyle.

The reverse fixture with Millwall in December proved to be Tony Mowbray's final game in charge of the club after Jack Clarke scored from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw. Sunderland have won just eight of their 24 league games since that draw at The Den - a run of form which has left them languishing in mid-table.
