Sunderland and Regis Le Bris now know they'll face Cardiff City in the opening game of their 2024/25 Championship campaign.

The Black Cats new head coach is yet to arrive on Wearside, with players returning for pre-season in the coming days, but work is well underway in preparing for next season.

Alex Bass and Nathan Bishop have both departed the Stadium of Light this summer, while Simon Moore has come through the door in a revamped goalkeeping department.
