Régis Le Bris' has completed his first week in charge of Sunderland as preparations have started for the new 2024-25 Championship season.
Le Bris officially started work at the Stadium of Light on July 1 after meeting supporters at the club's recent kit launch before meeting his new squad of players and getting to work on the training pitches at the Academy of Light throughout the week.
The Frenchman also held his first press conference as the club's new head coach before sporting director Kristjaan Speakman addressed supporters over a number of issues regarding Le Bris' appointment, his backroom staff and the ongoing summer transfer window.
Le Bris will continue getting to grips with his new squad and implementing his ideas before Sunderland's first pre-season fixtures take place next weekend.

In the latest We Are Sunderland briefing, Joe Ramage is joined by Dom Shaw to reflect on Le Bris' first week in charge of Sunderland and offer further reaction to the Frenchman's inaugural press conference at the Academy of Light and what the make-up of his backroom staff could look like after comments from both Le Bris and Speakman.
There is also a response to Speakman's transfer update and the suggestion that Sunderland will look to add further experience to their squad this summer - Sunderland having been the youngest ranked team in each of their two season's back in the Championship so far.
Two of the key areas Sunderland may need to address this summer are in midfield and at centre-forward and both are discussed in our latest briefing as well as Chris Rigg's contract news after the 17-year-old signed his first professional deal with the club earlier this week.
